Tap - decent rendition, but nothing stand out - light nutty maltiness, light caramelized sugars, mild balancing acidity - finish is a bit watery, with some leafy bitterness - okay.

Clear brown color. Aroma is a slightly syrupy sweet malt, then a toasted character under that. A little roasted brown malt character. Flavor has less of the syrup, which is good. Just that sweet character doesn’t work.light body, soft carb.

Tap - a very clean and balanced rendition - medium sweet up front, but dries out fast and brings some punchy.mineral and floral, grassy hops - finishes moderately bitter - clean, crisp, enjoyable.

From tap at Beerfes Tokyo. Brown, thin layer of foam. Looks like I would imagine an alt to look like. Aroma has some slight bitterness to it, some fruits. Taste is soft, slightly bitter, malty. Easygoing and drinkable.

Tap at Beerfes Tokyo. Brownish, quite clear and with only a little foam. Aroma has some light burnt caramel, sweet and mixed with hops. Fruit basket. Taste is relatively dry, hips and pine resins, needles. This kind of beer. As a whole this is a good example of an American beer, nice long IPA.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark amber to brown in color and with a small, dense, beige head. Toffee, dried fruits and some notes of orange in the aroma. A bit boring perhaps, but pleasant. That goes for the flavor too, with a nice bitterness added. More evident dried fruits in the flavor, with toffee and some orange peel touch. Full body and soft carbonation. Lasting finish. A pleasant one, but I wouldn’t object to more complexity. 141219
