On tap at henrys. Pure black a medium brown head. Sweet coffee nose, roast. Sweet, coffee, light fruit, dry and very earthy. Ashy.

Sampled on tap at The Taphouse, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of spiced apples and pears, citrus hops, and biscuity malts. Flavour is a tad stronger than a typical pale ale, with biscuity malts and very astringent hops - which steal the show. Very citric and bitter hops way out of balance. Good for what it is, but way out of balance.

Tap at Horsebrass Pub - lightly hazy orange - loads of bright tropical fruit character and citrus complimented well by a moderately sweet, clean malt base - not too bitter, but with a lot of earthy hop flavor - very nice IPA.

Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Light light unclear medium yellow amber - orange colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, overriped. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, acrid bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110802]

Cask at the GBBF. Amber with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, especially grapefruit, with a touch of peach. Dry and citrus hoppy flavour with a really bitter finish

GBBF. Cask. Opaque brown beer, little tan head. Smooth palate. A little chocolate, marmite and minerals. Alright - still struggling with my palate after that bloody Stone Chipolte Porter!

GBBF. Also drank on the 3rd. Hazy amber beer with a little white head. Light dry palate. Nice caramel malt backbone. Floral hops with an interesting streak of pineapple. Whisper of tangerine. Finishes light and dry and with some grapefruit and orange marmalade bitterness. Bitter aftertaste. An interesting and tasty beer.

Cask@GBBF2011. Quite much pitch black colour, not much head. Aroma is liquorice, mild toasted notes, some alcohol, some mild alcohol as well as mild fudgelike notes. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, some mild resiny and smoked wooden notes as well.

Gravicask, third-pint glass at USA Cask Ale Bar, Gbbf ’11. No head, unclear amber body colour. Resin and dried fruits like raisin to the nose. Malt-fruity taste including dried fruits and pine. Fine malt-bitter ending. Paired well with my Cornish pasty (London, 02.08.2011).
