Description
Walking Man Brewing was established in 1999. Nestled in Stevenson, Washington near the Bridge of the Gods in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge, Walking Man Brewing began impacting the Northwest craft beer scene in late 2000. Garnering medals in some of the top beer competitions in the world, it has long since become a destination for beer enthusiasts and gorge travellers.

Our 17-barrel brewhouse has a single infusion mash tun, steam fired kettle and open fermenters. We brew old school, stirring every batch by hand. We produce roughly 1000 barrels each year and distribute along the I-5 corridor from the Puget Sound through Portland Oregon and throughout the Columbia Gorge region.

We welcome you to explore our neighborhood, connect with our community and enjoy a pint at our brewpub. Cheers!

Bomber from Grocery Outlet. Cloudy amber pour with a creamy off-white head. Rich malty aroma, woody, brown bread. Taste is strong, boozy and malty, a bit of sweetness succumbs to the ABV . What an enjoyable throwback to the early world of malty DIPAs. Beer time machine...

On tap at the Stevenson BP Clear light bright golden. Some fresh natural raspberry notes on the nose and in the flavors. Plenty of berry flavors. Thankfully not on the color otherwise simple light clean beer.

Tap at Horse Brass. Smells like a Black Forest gateau, lots of black cherry. Not so much else. Taste is different, initial cherry is quickly replaced with chocolate and roast, at the changeover, it's a bit of a clash, but the roast lingers at the end, with a bit of burnt bitterness. It's nice, but strange. --- Beer merged from original tick of Black Cherry Stout on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Draft 14 oz pour at Bambinos, Seattle. Clean golden orange pour. Not knowing what style of beer this was when I ordered it, and being told it was a pale, the first sip was a bit of a shock. A ton of floral notes, a ginger like flavor as well. Very cool, botanical. Long lingering, floral, herbal finish, and decently refreshing. Enjoyed this more towards the end than I did after the first impression.

Tasting at Matt's
Golden color, hazy. Some orange aroma, Belgian yeast, spicy. Lean mouthfeel, strong Belgian yeast character, and strong citrusy, orangey character.
A bit over the top but nice.
