Description
Walking Man Brewing was established in 1999. Nestled in Stevenson, Washington near the Bridge of the Gods in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge, Walking Man Brewing began impacting the Northwest craft beer scene in late 2000. Garnering medals in some of the top beer competitions in the world, it has long since become a destination for beer enthusiasts and gorge travellers.
Our 17-barrel brewhouse has a single infusion mash tun, steam fired kettle and open fermenters. We brew old school, stirring every batch by hand. We produce roughly 1000 barrels each year and distribute along the I-5 corridor from the Puget Sound through Portland Oregon and throughout the Columbia Gorge region.
We welcome you to explore our neighborhood, connect with our community and enjoy a pint at our brewpub. Cheers!

Found this rate on my phone, likely a yearish old. Tap from a sampler tray. Pours hazy golden, medium off-white head, some lacing. Aroma is grassy, pine, herbal. Flavor is very light sweet, light plus bitter, lingering bitterness, borderline harsh actually. Light body, a bit watery.

Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland
Hazy amber color with medium head. The strong malty character of this beer and medium sweetness level, although both lovely, label this as an old school IIPA; the hops are strong, more resiny than else, a bit orangey too; the malts also have a mild biscuity note. The caramel still dominates the final. The alcohol is well conceived.
Excellent powerful beer, I wouldn’t drink more than a glass of it per session though.

Draft at GBBF 2013, day 3 - London. Pours cloudy amber with a frothy white head. Ripe dark citrus in the aroma, some pine, mango, melon. Medium sweet flavor, with moderate sugary tropical fruits, some piney bitterness, a little alcohol bump. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Subtly resinous on the finish, with moderate bitter and dry pine, more juicy tropical fruits. Not bad overall.

On tap at Bainbridge Brewing. Light pale and hazy. Light diacetyl, moderate bitterness, and a dash of citrusy hop. The diacetyl buggers it up.
