Description
Walking Man Brewing was established in 1999. Nestled in Stevenson, Washington near the Bridge of the Gods in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge, Walking Man Brewing began impacting the Northwest craft beer scene in late 2000. Garnering medals in some of the top beer competitions in the world, it has long since become a destination for beer enthusiasts and gorge travellers.

Our 17-barrel brewhouse has a single infusion mash tun, steam fired kettle and open fermenters. We brew old school, stirring every batch by hand. We produce roughly 1000 barrels each year and distribute along the I-5 corridor from the Puget Sound through Portland Oregon and throughout the Columbia Gorge region.

We welcome you to explore our neighborhood, connect with our community and enjoy a pint at our brewpub. Cheers!

Red-brown beer under a yellow head. Wood, US hops, but restrained, cashews, orange- or mandarinepeel. Wry, sweet-bitter in an excellent balance. Slick, viscuous, chewy, wry-woody in the mouth. Excellent beer sustaining the fame of its brewers.

Caution! This is not the flavour and hop bomb that Homo Erectus is. Draught. Poured orange with foamy head. Much lacing. Floral and citrusy aroma.. Full bodied flavour hoppy but not overly so. Full mouth. Longering hoppish finish.

Draught. Poured pale amber with much lacing. Gorgeous pint of beer. Malt and hops balanced flavour with considerable fruitiness. Hoppy finish. This seemed, except for the strength to be a Cape Ale. Another winner from Walking Man.

On Tap at the BP. Clear light Golden with a nice white head and persistant lacing. Light pilsner malt aroma with some malt loquor notes and honey and papaee like many pale lagers. Loght soft flavor, of grains other thanbarley. Again MLish bit just enougggh hips to give it a little bite. Not bad for a style that I can’t reallt get into.
