Established in 2010
Peace Tree Brewing Company is dedicated to brewing handcrafted, full-flavored beers with a great attention to quality. Our brewery began in 2009 in a former Nash Rambler car dealership on Main Street in Knoxville, Iowa.
Head brewmaster Joe Kesteloot came to us with years of professional and home brewing experience and brought with him a true passion and creativity for developing his own unique recipes.
We held the grand opening for our 20-Bbl brewhouse in March 2010, and within a month, were producing and bottling our brews – hand-delivering them to stores, bars and restaurants around the state.
Brewing great beer is our passion, but we are also passionate about where we have come from and where we are going. The names of our beers often have connections to the places in our past, especially derived from memories and places in our community and our state.

Can. A- Funky, mild berry. A- Red color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Cranberry, tart, mild bitterness, subtle tang. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, tart finish. O- Cranberry is there. A bit off, but I think it is due to the oak wood. Good certainly not great.

Draft. A- Grains, champagne yeast. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grape skins, champagne, yeast, brut, grains, faint bitterness. P- Medium body, average texture, high carbonation, astringent finish. O- Not great. This was like a cheap champagne. Pass.

Can. A- Damp, overripe citrus. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, fizzy minimal head. T- Passionfruit, tangerine, slightly dank, faint tartness. P- Light body, thin texture, medium carbonation, slightly unbalanced finish. O- The flavor profile was there but yet it was off. Not particularly well crafted.

Aromas are kind of strange mix of cold grapefruit with caramel malt. Flavors are like nose, bittersweet but not really that great. I wouldn't get another.

Label says 6.8% ABV. Aromas are slightly old metallic resin hops with a bit of toffee malt. Flavors are similar to nose, add in a bit of citrus but not that good.

Really good beer. Dialed in great balance between fresh hop and malt with dialed in carbonation. I could drink a lot of this.
