Description
Enriching our communities through thoughtful beer experiences.

Peace Tree Brewing Company is dedicated to brewing handcrafted, full-flavored beers with a great attention to quality. Our brewery began in 2009 in a former Nash Rambler car dealership on Main Street in Knoxville, Iowa.

Head brewmaster Joe Kesteloot came to us with years of professional and home brewing experience and brought with him a true passion and creativity for developing his own unique recipes.

We held the grand opening for our 20-Bbl brewhouse in March 2010, and within a month, were producing and bottling our brews – hand-delivering them to stores, bars and restaurants around the state.

Brewing great beer is our passion, but we are also passionate about where we have come from and where we are going. The names of our beers often have connections to the places in our past, especially derived from memories and places in our community and our state.

Draft. A- Cinnamon, citrus. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Cinnamon cake, citrus, melon. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Interesting beer. The description makes me think pina colada flavor but I get a cinnamon cake flavor that can only be from the coconut I guess?

At the DC Spring RB Tasting. Poured a clear yellow-orange color. This one had a super, huge, bold orange aroma to it, almost like a flat orange soda or something. Lots of orange zest here. Orange, light bitterness, very light salt, if it was even detectable. Really pleasant.

Yep, grapefruit juice. Not sure how well the hop compliment this fruit. Sharp pucker like the grapefruit juice would give you. I mean, ok

On tap at Peace Tree, pours a hazy dull yellow with a tiny head. Aroma brings out lots of white wine grapes, saison yeast and a touch of funk. Flavour is along the same lines, with white wine must, saison yeast and a touch of funk. Nicely constructed, hiding the alcohol. Dry, musty finish. Not bad.

On tap at Peace Tree, pours a hazy pinkish orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out tons of tart cranberries upfront, with moderate acidity. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of tart cranberries and light lacto. The cranberries show up very well here.
