0.5l bottle from #N210. This is a mild blurry looking one, it has a deep doppelbock bronze colored body and on top a really good looking creamy lacing head. Really beefy and smoked on the aroma! A tad too much for my elegant nose really. It's also mild herbal, lots of cardboard box and hints of the sweetness coming from juniper berries. The aroma kinda grows on you after a while. Hints of dry chocolate and something mild spicy. Tastes alright also actually. I thought it would be over smoked after initially smelling it, but it mellows down after a while in the glass. It has a mild oily texture in the mouth and it's just above average on the carbonation. Smoked sausage with dry licorice, bitter coffee beans and something a little unclean-like in the aftertaste. No personal favorite, but it wasn't horrible either. 29.10.2015

A bit to MUCH ginger for my likings.
Hazed amber color with a fine off white head. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a soft carbonation. Mellow sweetness. Some spices, toffee and GINGER in the flavor.

500ml bottle wrapped in grey-paper from Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Coal black body. Spotty lacing, low off-white head. Spiced malt-fruity aromas, hints of oak. Vanilla caramel flavours, impact of cocoa and dark fruits. Nicely roasted brown malty end. Tasty and fine bodied(Big bottle session with Elisabeth, Jan Erik, Stefan and Finn, Tromsø 05.11.2016).

Bottle, at Sandar. It’s a more or less black beer, oily and close to headless. Not much curtains. The aroma is quite boozy, with roasted malts, bonfire notes, dried fruits, some licorice and a touch of malty booze. It’s full bodied indeed, smooth and warming, sure not on the dry side. Roasted malts, licorice, soy sauce, toffee and a touch of dark dried fruits in the flavor. Some nice bitterness too. Pretty intense this one, but sure a fine brew. 161028
