500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes, N295. Colourful and cool label design. Rocky, fawn coloured head slowly diminishing, leaving clingy lacing behind. Clear, dark brown body. Roasted caramel malty nose, mid-dry. Nicely roasted, earthy, brown malty flavours supported by dried fruits. Malt bitter ending, smooth on the swallow. Nice homecoming beer on a Saturday eve (Tromsø 01.10.2016).

Medium beige head. Opaque black body. Earthy licorice aroma with musty herbal notes. Sweetish, and faintly acidic, earthy licorice taste with burnt notes. Full-bodied. Sharpish, mealy mouthfeel. Sweetish mealy burnt mineraly licorice aftertaste with chocolatey notes. It’s OK, but not worth all that alcohol. Not buying again. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Storo.)
