0.5l bottle from #295. Well, it's definitely dark on the pour this. Not top far off black really and on the top a nice medium sized fading beige head. On the nose it's a bit confused. It's definitely sweet and a little fruity, yet also quite yeasty and almost a little roasted. Smells almost a little spiced. It's not a bad aroma, just a little all over the place. Different you'd might say. It has a mild oily texture in the mouth and it's just above average on the carbonation. Strange Tasting. Can't really decide if I like it or not. After the fist few ships it's more the latter really. Strange fruity licorice, it's almost tart wood astringent. There's also a little fruitiness in the taste. Can't really wrap my head around if I like it or not, but it's a interesting one for sure. 01.10.2016

Medium beige head doesn’t last. Black opaque body. Roasty mealy fruity aroma with winter cherry notes. Sweet and lightly acidic roasty dark chocolatey taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish and faintly acidic roasty chocolatey almond aftertaste with cherry notes. Unexpectedly successful. Very subtle and effective use of the cherries. Big beige head. Nearly opaque black body. Mild, mealy roasty aroma with milky chocolatey notes. Dryish earthy roasty taste with minty chocolatey notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, fizzy, mealy mouthfeel. Dry roasty earthy aftertaste with dirty burnt notes. It’s OK, but no more than that. Low on flavour, kind of harsh, and slightly unclean. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Storo. Batch #298.)

500ml bottle, N 223 and 298, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A nice tan-coloured head to an almost black body. Clingy lacing all over the glassware. Inviting aroma of vanilla oak and chocolate. Vanilla and chocolate flavours joined by liquorice and molasses. Rich roasted, bitter ending sustained by warming alcohol. Full bodied. Perfect slow sipper on a dark Saturday eve (Tromsø 10.09.2016).

500ml bottle, brygg N295, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A deep rustic tint to a black body. Declining tan-coloured head. Minimal lacing. Modest aroma of earth, mid-sweet malts and berry peels. Mixed taste of wood, raspberry and chocolate. Slightly tart and sweet to the ending. Just alright without being impressive in any way. (Tromsø 10.09.2016).

On tap @ Bergen Ølfestival 2016. Pours dark, hazy brown, with a big creamy, mocha head. Aroma is tart, wooden yeast, with cherries, fruit peel and some earthy notes. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is tart yeast, with fruit peel and musty fruity notes, as well as some roasted malts.

Bottle in Bergen, thanks SirLimpsalot. Almost black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of cherries, light funk, some malt and hints of grass and yeast. The body was medium.

At Bergen Ölfestival 2016. Black with a tan head. Aroma and taste of bourbon, dark malt, some hints of caramel and oak. The body was thick and the finish long. Tasty.
