Fra kran på Ølhallen 5 Feb 15. Mørk gylden. Middels høyt tett skum som varer en stund. Teppelacing. Forsiktig fruktaroma. Smaken er mandler & aprikos. Svakt syrlig etter hvert. Mye kullsyre.

Clear dark black - red brown color with a large - huge, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, smoke. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood, smoked, roasted, sweet malt, tart notes, chocolate notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141227]

Bottle 500ml. [ As Amundsen Blackbird ].Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus, fruity, smoke, hoppy, plastic notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141220]

On tap @ Nydalen May 2014. Unclear orange body with a small, lacing off-white head. Nice aroma, fruit, spices, pepper and yeast. Flavor is as aroma, fruity, spicy, pepper and Saison yeast. Balanced and pleasant. Medium body and fine aftertaste. Well made.

On tap @ Nydalen may 2014. Unclear orange body with a nice, long lasting off-white head. Nice citric fruity aroma dominated by peaches and some mild caramel malt. Flacor is sweet, soft malt, citric fruit, oranges, peaches and nice bitterness. Medium body with a pleasant fruity bitter aftertaste. A really nice and refreshing straight forward APA.

Flaske fra polets nettbutikk, delt med Ovesen: nestsen ugjennomtrengellig brunsvart med fint lysebrunt skum. Aroma av franskbrent espresso med snev av furunål. Deilig tørr smak med god bitterhet preget av de mørke malter og den elegante humlebruken. Meget lett å helle innenfor snippen.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 24.01.15. Very dark brown, almost black. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma of American hops, grapefruit, pine and cigar box. Similar taste, with evident dark malt. Bitter grapefruit in aftertaste. A decent example of the style.

On tap @ Amundsen. Unclear orange body with a big white, lacing head. Aroma is a bit mild, but nice and fruity with spices and pale malt. Flavor is light and refreshing citric fruity, with pale malt, spices and some light grassy bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste. Nothing really special, but a nice and easy thirst quencher within its style.

On tap @ Amundsen May 2014. Unclear orange body with a medium sized, lacing off-white head. Nice citric fruity aroma with some caramel malt. Flavor has citric fruit, caramel malt and decent bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Totally OK, but nothing stands out from any other decent IPA.
