Quite good looking beer. Hazy dark golden color with a white head. Lovely lacing. And there stops all the superlatives. Aroma: malty and yeast. Not a to inviting combination. Ok medium body. Moderate sweet and a moderate bitterness.. Flavor…hmm…malty, herbal, mild yeast and mild fruity. Not very balanced and not very good. Not recommendable.

Sampler@Amundsen Brygghus, Oslo catching up with lovely Sigridur 18.08.13. Straw coloured body, tiny lasting head and some lacing. Grass, straw, lemon and some sour notes in both aroma and taste.

Draught at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. Nicely served in a tulip glass. An almost black coloured beer with a decent tan-coloured head blanketing the glassware. Malty aroma with coffee hints, vinegary backbone. Dark malty flavours of coffee and chocolate joined by a touch of spiced berries. More sweet than bitter to the finish. Rounded mouth feel. Looks nice, smells sourish and tastes a tad too sweet. Not their best (Oslo 22.06.2014).

From tap, poured into a tulip shaped glass at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. Deep dark brown coloured body under a bubbly fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing down the glass. Roasted malty aroma with sourish liquorice. Taste of chocolate, bread, ash, and mid-sweet berries. Malty bitterness to the finish. Smooth on the swallow. Quite easy to drink. A tasty beer with an uninviting aroma (Oslo 22.06.2014).

500ml bottle from Meny Oslo City. Chalk white head leaving dotted spots down the glass. Close to clear golden coloured body. Moderate sweet aroma of caramel and berries. Likewise, the flavour profile has got hints of mid-sweet malts, spiced fruits, and dark berries. Mild bittersweet ending. Medium bodied. Okay summer feel (hotel room, Oslo 19.06.2014)
