Appearance: Clear nutty brown color with a tan head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Nutty, malty and fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a mild bitterness. Average to soft carbonation.
Taste: Bubblegum, marshmallows, fruity and some Christmas spices.
Overall impression: One of this is enough. Maybee to much sweet stuff. Apart for that an ok ale.

Fra fat på bryggeripuben nov-13: mørk mahognyfarge helt uten skum (inkompetent bartender?). Smaker brent sukker med litt krydder. Servert for kald. Stappfullt, tydelig at dette er blitt et trendsted. Har de ikke tid til å lage ordentlig øk?

Black with brown head - Roasted malt aroma - Dark roasted amlt body with some caramel, dark fruits and a lot of spice - Lingering malt goes into the finish and the spice is even here - This was good and spicy

Dark brown with an off white head - Good spicy aroma - Good malt body to support the spice flavours - the spice goes in a long finish - Nice good beer that has a Nice spicyness to it and it is easy drinking

On tap at the brewpub. ABV was 7.5%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of spices, caramel and butterscotch. Roasty and spicy flavour, not too sweet, some butterscotch. Dry finish.

Rerate, November 2015: Brewed in Nydalen. On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. There is no diacetyl in the beer now, so I’m upping the score a few points. Notes of caramel and discrete Christmas spices. Original rating, November 2013: On tap at the brewpub. Dark mahogany colour, low beige head. Strong aroma of butterscotch and caramel. Malty flavour, with distinct notes of caramel and diacetyl. Not impressive.

On tap at Oslo ølfestival. Hazy golden with a lasting, white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with floral notes, malt and hints of spices. Medium sweet with a light sourness and a peppery finish. Nice and very refreshing.

On tap at Oslo ølfestival. Hazy caramel coloured with an off-white head. Fresh and hoppy aroma with grapefruit, tropical fruits, pine, malt, and hints of herbs. Moderate sweet with nice hoppy flavour and a decent bitterness. Nice one!

250ml, tap at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. Beige head to a jet black body. Dotted spots down the glass. Roasted dark malty nose. Quite exciting blended taste of grapefruit and black malts. Roasted bitter ending. Fine bodied. Pretty good (Oslo 03.09.2013).
