Spotty beige head on an chestnut coloured body. Minimal aroma of berries. Medium to full bodied, smooth & creamy with a cloying back. Malt, caramel, sugars, blackcurrant & tangy tastes with butter finish. Cracking ESB.

Off white foamy head on a caramel coloured body with some seriously big floaters. Malt & bitter aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively back. Malt, berry, tea & spiced fruity tastes. Standard.

Cask at Exeter Festival of Beer 2024. Pours very deep brown with beige foam. Aroma; chocolate, dark berries, slightly vinous. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, light boozy, chocolate, caramel. Medium body with soft carbonation.

Rocky off white head on a unclear deep vivid amber coloured body. Minimal malt aroma. Medium, smooth with a cloying back. Malt, brown sugar, liquorice & herbal tastes with a lightly hopped sweet finish. Standard.

Creamy tan head on a still ruby coloured body. Malt, blackberry & roasted aroma. Medium bodied, smooth thinning out to a lively dry clean back. Malt, roasted, liquorice & blackberry tastes with a tangy fruity finish. Good one,

Hand-pulled half-pint on 24th August 2023; London Inn, Morchard Bishop, Devon (cracking pub food). White head on a bronze body, clean and clear. Caramel malty front with a calming hop finish, nice, easy going bitter.

Hand-pulled half-pint on 24th August 2023; London Inn, Morchard Bishop, Devon (cracking pub food). Copper body, clean and clear, off-white head. Malty front in the nose and taste, decent traditional hop presence (no citrusy hops). Liked it, but was driving, so just a half for me.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 15 April 2023. Copper in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Caramel, red berries, bready, slightly toasted malts, leading to a boozy, rich, finish. Good.

Cask at Bird in Hand, Bishops Lydeard, Somerset. Pours clear mid brown with an off-white cap. Aroma: malt, caramel, toffee hints. Taste: light sweet & bitter, semi-dry, biscuit malts, caramel, floral hop. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Not bad.
