Cask at the brewpub. Pours clear gold with a creamy topping. Nice aroma, orange and tangerine. Light sweet flavour with more tangerine, some pale bread, mild rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Good balance on the finish, some pith, rindy bitterness, more tangerine, pale bread. Sound.

Cask at the source. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, herbal, grassy, straw, grass and earth. The taste is dry, pithy, zesty, grainy, chewy, tannin, oilliness and kitty litter with a drying finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty basic.

Dan's Stag. Brewhouse. Bristol. Cask. Hazy deep amber beer, thin patchy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, very modest fine carbonation. Light smooth malts, mildly sweet. Modest winter spice and ripe fruits, vague mulled wine vibe. Dry finish. Slightly odd.

The taste is crisp, dry, fairly clean, lemonade, lime, sugary, grapefruit and white bread with a dry finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Not too shabby.
