12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 7/27/19. This beer has been fucking everywhere and I have finally gotten around to it. Hazy amber, thin foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of pine and resin hops, toasted grain. Taste is resin, pine, earth, vegetal notes, toffeeish malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Okay.

The Aromas are roast, cocoa, dark malt and black patent. Flavors are similar to nose, on the sweet side with hints of coffee and the barest hint of whiskey. Good body and carbonation very drinkable now don't know how much better it would get with cellaring. Alcohol comes through at the very end.

12oz bottle. A fairly unique creature. Medium bodied, drinkable body. Lemony tart sour tones. Oily artificial perfume-like flavorings. After awhile, or maybe your first sniff or sip, the flavoring really isn't that desirable. Lemony-orange herbal action. I don't get much spruce. I applaud them for trying something new but this isn't that impressive.
