Draft at brewery. Black as night, small dissipating head. Big boozy aroma, taste really presents the barrel aging well too. Seems boozy, without actually being boozy. First time drinking a BA normal stout. Pretty tasty.

On tap at the Boise Brewery Deep dark brown black, chunky light tan head. Light roast aromas, smooth soft chocolaty roast flavors as well. Very smooth and easy. Some chocolate and coffee in the flavors.

Draft at brewery. Dark, hazy brown with small, tight creamy beige head. Soft, gentle sweet aroma. Taste adds the hops, some tang, strong malt presence. Warmth creeps in slowly. Not as sweet as some, not as boozy as some, but a solid barley wine in the English style.

Draft at Boise taproom. Pitch black body, bubbly ring of beige head. Strong coffee aroma, taste too. Enough of the stout bitterness comes through too, not a fan of coffee beers, but this is great. Finishes as dark semi-swett chocolate notes.

On Tap at the Boise brewery Clear deep redish amber mahogany. Moderate tan head. Soapy and clinging lacing. Mild soft slightly sweet malt body. This cant be near the claimed 90IBUs. The 9%ABV also seems generous. Malty woody with some brown sugar. Smooth and hefty palate. Nice, just not very aggressive.

Growler fill from brewery. Pours out kind of flat, but gets better, much better. Nutty, roasty aroma, closing in on brown ale. Dee brown in color with small head, but still leaves sheets of lacing. The fresh hops kick the taste up a notch, pleasant bitterness on top of the rich malty body. Bitterness lingers on the palate. Amber on steroids. Well done!

Draft at taproom. Hazy golden pour. Minimal head. Aroma letβs you know this is a Saison, musty, yeasty. Plums take over in the taste, perhaps too much. Fruity, and a bit dry. Finishes flat.
