On Tap at the Boise Brewery Clear orange light amber with a full light tan head. Thick even sheets of lacing. Lightly toasted malty biscuit flavors and aromas. Quite a strong tang and bite at the end. A little more character than most of the style.

Draft @ Beer wars. Golden orange color with a sandy head. Hop aroma is moderate, mostly citrus and light in the florals. Moderate bitterness. There is some spicy hop notes in the end, sort of herbal and floral, kind of earthy in fact. Any sweetness from the nose is now overshadowed before a lingering bitter tail. It’s a little off the beaten path from the other IPA’s I had today, but I found this to be very likeable.

On tap at the brewery. Murky brown pour with thin, wispy beige head. Coffee is most evident aspect of aroma and taste, but hints of chocolate aren’t too far behind. Mellow bitter palate dries out the finish. Coffee initially up front, dissipates afterwards.

Opaque deep chocolate brown with a full tan head. Up front but soft coffee aromas, More milk chocolaty in the flavor. Quite a bit of sweetness, more like a candy bar. Smooth soft silky feel. Lots of mild roast maltiness. Lingering slight wet brown paper bag at the end. Could have used a few more IBUs I think but a very smooth and tasty chocolatey beer. Maybe my favorite from BB .
