On tap at boise brewing. pours out a dark brown with a little bit of amber highlights topped with a tan head. Nose is pine hops a nice roast toasted coconut almost maybe just because of some sweetness or the fact they were brewing and the nice fresh steam was filling the room. Taste is pine hops a solid roast malt along with a bitter sweet balance.

Growler fill from the brewery. Clear, dark amber body with small tight beige head. Caramelly malts are first aroma, and it follows through to taste, velvety body makes for a nice chewy brew. This ones all about the malts, with a hint of some hoppiness at the very back of the palate.

On Tap at the Boise Brewery, Hazy redish orange with a thin but persistent light tan head and thin even coats of lacing. The malty and hop aroma signaled to me that this is a big IPA. After a few sips the smooth maltiness brought me back to "Imperial Red Ale" Whatever that is. Robust and smooth hop flavors and well balanced. This is a good beer. Big, bold and smooth

Grunt fill from Boise Brewing. I had high hopes, as Sockeye’s Velvet Falls was so great. Alas, not to be. Body pours out right, kind of thick, but airy head disappears instantly.. Aroma is pure grain, but also kind of musty, leaning into steamed veggies territory. Taste leans on the adjunct grains, Smooth and slick, but also dull and lifeless. A near miss.
