500 ml bottle, at Olympen, Oslo. ABV 6.4%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Surprisingly moderate aroma, some roasty notes, hints of coffee and liquorice. The flavour is definitely roasty with notes of coffee, fairly dry. Smooth and pleasant to drink, will buy again. Inderøy’s best beer so far.

500 ml shared bottle, at "Onsdag i Annen", Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. So far not available in the pub’s ordinary selection. ABV is 10%. Fairly pale and slightly milky colour, moderate carbonation. Aroma and flavour have notes of honey, like any mead should, but this is still the driest mead I’ve had. Distinct herbal and spicy notes in both aroma and flavour. Mouthfeel reminiscent of rough cider. Alcohol is evident. The relatively dry character makes this mead more drinkable than the intensely sweet and uncarbonated ones, but I’d still prefer to share the bottle with one other person.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.9%. Deep golden to brown colour, slightly hazy. Large head, slightly off-white. Moderate aroma of American hops. The flavour is distinctly hoppy from start to finish, with a fairly sharp bitterness. Maybe not very complex, but a decent enough "American" IPA.

Medium brown head. Opaque black body with deep dark red edges. Roasty milky chocolatey aroma with burnt notes. Dry-sweet roasty milky chocolate taste with caramelly grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry resiny chocolate and soot aftertaste with burnt pine needles and grain notes. Nice, drinkable, has real character, and finally no ash. (0.5l bottle, Olympen, Oslo.)

Medium beige head. Hazy opaque amber body with strong carbonation. Resiny tropical fruit aroma with strawberry notes. Dry-sweet resiny tropical fruit taste with ashy papery notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry citric strawy papery perfumy aftertaste with fruity mealy ashy notes. Not bad, but has the usual ashy off taste. (0.5l bottle at Olympen, Oslo.)

0.5l bottle from Fenaknoken, Oslo. This English style pale ale has a dark unclear copper colored body with a nice medium off-white head. Aroma is light fruity and malty with notes of peaches and some fruity hops. Lively carbonation, medium to light-bodied and it has a light oily mouthfeeling. Tastes quite malty with a really nice, yet surprisingly, licorice flavor in the end. Hints of fruits and some yeast. Ends light watery with a mild little bitterness. Yeah, this was really a nice little surprise.

0.5l bottle from Fenaknoken, Oslo. This is a cloudy pale-orange body with a massive everlasting fluffy off-white head. Aroma is light maitish with notes of some grass and some caramel. Quite lively and stingy carbonation, light-bodied and has a mild oily to watery texture. Tastes malty, almost like chocolate-malts. Also quite grassy and it ends bitter and hopy with some yeast flavors in the aftertaste. A bit to thin mouthfeeling that I can really enjoy it, but not bad in any way.

500ml bottle. Thanks to Rune for bringing it to our Rating Session 10.March 2011. 70ies brown body. Murky. Spices, chocolate, bread and wheat, with at hint of coriander, which are also reflected in taste. Still, it smells better than it tastes.
