500ml bottle, beer gift after a lecture on early modern witchcraft. Deep, dark brown body colour added by a ruby shade. Bubbly, fawn-coloured head, dotted spots down the glass. Dark, mid-sweet malts to the nose. Plain dark caramel malts to the fore followed by hints of chocolate and a nice roasted bitterness to the ending. Soft on the swallow. Good drinking (hotel room, Levanger 20.11.2012).

Sample from bottle. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Okay beer, mildly roasty character in both aroma and flavour, but nothing to "elevate" it much above average.

Lovely amber colour with a big off white head that last and leaves a fine lacing. Caramel malt and grape hoppy aroma. Creamy texture and a medium to full body. Moderate sweet with a rich bitterness. Soft carbonation. Grape hoppy flavour with a solid caramel malt background.

Almost black in colour. Aroma of oat stout? Waterish mouthfeel. Decent taste of weak oatmeal stout.
