Bottle, batch 835, served at a fine drinking temperature at Den Gode Nabo in Trondheim. Collapsing white head, leaving a few floaters on top of a dark, amber body. Display of nice laceworks. Dusty, herbal aroma with hops breaking through. The flavours are performed mostly by bread-like malts but added by spices and sweet fruity dryness. A welcoming bitter twist to the finish. Rather flat and dry on the swallow. Sufficient powerful for its alcohol strength (12.03.2009).

500ml bottle, batch 837. Pours a foggy golden body under a foamy, white head. Fine laceworks. Smell of herbal malts and late fruits. Light malt-fruity profile with dry, herbal notes. Dry mouthfeel. Food friendly (Den Gode Nabo, Trondheim 12.03.2009).

500ml bottle served at room temperature at Den Gode Nabo. My first beer from this relatively new Norwegian microbrewery. Light brownish head, leaving good lacings on the glass. Brown-rusty in body colour. Murky brown second pour. Sweet grainy to the nose. Dry, sweet caramel malts and roasted grain in flavour, added by fruity dryness. Satisfying bitter aftertaste. A bit vapid in texture, but still rather well bodied for its alcohol strength (enjoying myself at this great pub in Trondheim, 12.03.2009).

Bottle. golden- orange colour with a white head. Aroma is dry, malt, fruit, orange. Flavour is dry, malt, fruit, banana , citrus. Medium body. Easy drinkable beer.

(Bottle, thanks Stig, on 2009-02-18) Very deep brown and hazy. Small white head. Roastedness and liquorice in aroma. Liquorice, roastedness, metallic flavours and bit of solven like flavours in taste. Roasty aftertaste.

(Bottle, thanks Stig, on 2009-02-18) Dark brown and hazy. Medium sized quickly disappearing white head. Coffee and bit of molasses in aroma. Full bodied and dry palate with little carbonation. Roastedness, coffee, molasses and bitterness in taste. Bitter and roasty aftertaste.

Bottle. A nice clear, brown body is topped by a finger-thick beige head. The aroma is quite weak, with roasted malts, caramel and some hops. Roasted malts and caramel in the flavor too, with a touch of dried fruits, a little nutty note, sweetness and a decent hop level. Medium body. Roasted finish with some bitterness. A rather boring beer, but easy to drink and sure not bad. (081130)

Medium shiny yellowish beige coarseish head doesn’t last. Hazy deep dark translucent red-brown body, Fruity bubble-gum and banana aroma with dusty roasty licorice and rye bread notes. Kind of separated into two independently harmonic aromas, but still works well. Dry-sweetish minty roasty dusty taste with tropical fruit hop notes. Faint bubblegum notes. Body is mid-to-thin, palate clean, delicate, and fresh. Delicate dry burnt coffee and minty papery aftertaste with faint chocolatey notes and some overripe fruit. Faint acidity throughout. Very nice, and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle via KnutAlbert. Batch #848 or #842; hard to say for certain.)

500 ml bottle, brew #832. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Nice and creamy tan head. Fine roasted aroma with notes of chocolate, mild coffee and wood. Flavour of roasted malts and coffee, hints of chocolate and dark fruits. Decent bitterness in the finish. A well balanced porter, the best product from Inderøy so far.
