Dark gold colored with short head. Good amount of citruses in aroma. Hints of bubble gum. In the background there’s a cardboard hint. High bitterness and moderate sweetness, including fruits’ flavor. A bit sour. Light body.

500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, toffee, hints of treacle, a touch of soy sauce and liquorice. Taste is roasty dark malty, notes of coffee, some coffee & hoppy bitterness, subtle toffee sweetness, flashes of soy sauce and liquorice, a minimally metallic touch.

Butelka 0.5l (20.04.2016). Barwa ciemno brunatna, delikatnie przejrzysta pod swiatlo. Piana bezowa, obfita, drobna jednak szybko redukuje sie do cienkiego pierscienia wokol scianek szkla. Bezposrednio po otworzeniu butelki na pierwszy plan wychodzi nuta gorzkiej czekolady, po przelaniu do szkla bardziej intensywne sa nuty suszonej sliwki, slodkiego alkoholu, likierowe, sheery. Aromat nie powala ale jest calkiem przyjemny. W smaku czekolada, wisnia w czekoladzie, mocno przelamana alkoholem (sherry), ciut nieulozonym, troche palacym w gardle. Jak na porter baltycki to trunek jest nieco rzadki, nawet wodnisty z ciut za wysokim wysyceniem i za wyraznym choc tylko delikatnym kwaskiem w posmaku. Goryczka palona, alkoholowa, za dluga i zalegajaca z wytrawnym, drewnianym odczuciem na finiszu. Przyzwoita propozycja porteru baltyckiego ale brak mu ciala. Ciut wiecej pelni wywindowalaby ten porter o kilka leveli wyzej. Fajna jest delikatna slodycz lekko oblepiajaca podniebienie i dobra pijalnosc i zdecydowanie zyskuje w miare uplywu czasu (picia).

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, while quietly whooshing, slowly diminishing, white head. Mild honey aroma slightly subdues a lactic tartness, a fruity touch of sweet pickled cucumber (Schlesische Gurkenhappen). Taste is mildly tart, lactic with honey counterbalance, subtle spiciness with a touch of salt, pepper and dill. Worthwhile reactivation of an historic style - I remain abstentious concerning authenticity.

Keg at Jabeerwocky, Warsaw. Cloudy amber, small head. Citrusy gooseberry aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Citrus, some ripe fruit. Mid bitter finish. Straightforward sweet pale ale.
