12 oz. can. Pours a clear, brown color, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is butter toffee, wet grass, brown bread, vanilla, and light roast. Sweet and malty, with a mild bitterness. Simple and well made.

12 oz. can. Pours a clearer, yellow color, with a frothy, fleeting, white head. The nose is lemon peel, grapefruit juice, hay, and cereals. Sweet and citrusy, and a little tart. Light body, with a mellow acidity. Simple and tasty beer.

Pour is a murky brown with a small white head. Looks more like a dubbel then a tripel. Aroma is mostly oak. Lots of oaky tannis. Flavor is again a decent woody oak note with some very feint wine with some sugar and alcohol. A tripel it is not. This is more of a barrel aged golden ale. I still dig it but not as much as I thought I would.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is molasses and figs. Flavor is dark fruit and molasses with some ginger finish. A bit thin for a dopple but the aroma and flavor were there.

A bit too bitter, but at least pleasantly so, underlying beer is great and to style. Backhouse Boulder

Can - turbid dark amber - nose of bourbon, vanilla, raw oak, oxidation - more in the British style than American, which I appreciate - heavy on the oxidation/sherry character - treacle, oak, bourbon - ends with some bitterness - unfortunate also ends a bit watery and heavy on the oak - pretty good.
