US pint on draft in the Barley Brothers Restaurant & Bar (Lake Havasu) on 2nd April 2025. Good looking dark beer, almost black with a tanned crown that hung around for most of the pint. Decent chocolate lead with a coffee and slight liquorice leaning, neither dry nor sweet, liked it.

Pint on tap at Root Down at Denver Airport. Murky iced tea, nice sparkle and head with fair retention and rings of lacing. Aroma is pine, herb, malt backbone. Taste is stronger version of aroma. Smooth, med body, average carb, dry, yeasty, malty finish with light bitterness.

Pours clear copper gold with a lasting white head that laces heavily. The hop led aroma is accented by tropical fruit and a little pine. The flavor is big on crisp hoppy bitterness balanced by some solid malt. There’s tropical fruit and resinous hops with a long bitter finish more on the piney side. This is an excellent IPA.

Tall stovepipe can. Pours a somewhat hazy amber color with a big sudsy beige head that has good retention and ample lacing. The aroma is quite strong with grapefruit and pine resins. The taste is bitter pine and caramel malts. The palate is full and creamy with soft carbonation. Finishes long and fry with lingering bitter pine. Overall: Decent old school take on a venerable style, reminds me of old west coast impy's. Paired well with some feta cheese.

16 oz. can. Pours black, with a big, foamy, tan head. The aroma is toffee, walnut, vanilla, heavy toasted oak, and cardamom. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, earthy bitterness. Heavy body, a bit astringent, and kinda hot. Fun, aggressive, and tasty stout.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear, brown color, with a small, bubbly, tan head. The nose is rye, vanilla, floral esters, light pumpernickel, wet grass, and toffee. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, noble bitterness. Medium body, syrupy, a bit crisp, and a hot finish. Fun, boozy, and interesting.
