Tap at the Falling Rock, Denver. Poured a clear deep amber with a frothy off white head. The aroma is rich hops. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a hoppy liqourice bitter malt spicy palate. A superb IPA.

12oz can picked up at Wilburs in CO
Pours clear dark brown with a medium sized tan head and good lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, chocolate, coffee and nutty. Flavors of roasted malts, chocolate, toffee and ash
Wow, this blew me away. Not what I expected at all, a very good brown ale! It might have helped that I drank this after a terrible DFH beer. But this is very good either way.

Can - luckily for me, I have not received the same diacetyl-laden mess that earlier raters of the canned version got - lightly hazy gold, soapy lace - nose is fairly heavy with the unmistakable garlicky character of summit hops - there is light pine and citrus, but mostly I smell garlic - light sweetness, light mineral - low carbonation - fairly nice mouthfeel - light clean sweetness is followed by lightly spicy rye and a peppery hop bite - a little huskiness and garlic on the tail end - slightly dirty/unclean finish - so not the abomination some have had, but certainly not the 4+ beer others have had, either.

Tap @ Tap and Handle Fort Collins. Pours a dark maroon orange appearance with a nice tan head. Quite roasty, fairly nutty, burnt malty, light coffee aroma. Kind of thin, burnt sugar, caramel, somewhat nutty flavor. Sort of decent, I guess.

Tap @ Tap and Handle Fort Collins. I was told this was called Tempest IPA but I can’t find any note of that on the interwebz besides Tempter. Pours a dark golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Herbal/floral, somewhat spicy, lightly piney, light citrus hoppy aroma. Slightly chewy, a bit boozy, light solvent, piney, thick grapefruity/orange citrusy flavor. Blah.
