Description
Kompania Piwowarska operates three breweries with rich heritage: Tyskie Browary Książęce (established in 1629), the Dojlidy Brewery in Bialystok (1768) and Lech Browary Wielkopolski in Poznan (1895). These breweries provide Polish people with their favourite beers, including Żubr, Tyskie, Lech, Dębowe, Redd’s and the Książęce specialty collection. Our proven beer recipes, natural ingredients, pristinely clean breweries and, above all, superbly skilled and experienced brewers, allow us to brew beers that are highly valued in Poland and abroad.

50cl can, bought on Mill Road, Cambridge. Pale straw with a rapidly fading white head; aroma of tinned pineapple; sweet tropical fruit flavours, but very thin, then dry with some grain; exceptionally sticky finish.

50cl can from a corner shop in Cambridge. Amber with no head; the aroma has some harsh apples and some grain; the flavour is an interesting combination of medium-sweet cider and a lambic style beer, but the industrial cider dominates.

Courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who brought it from Timisoara (thanks!). Our can was brewed in Romania by Ursus. Poured a pale golden body, thick white head, extremely fizzy. Guava in the nose. Guava in the taste, that is also dry, sweet, feels diluted and leaves a sweet aftertaste. Some acidic notes too. Not all that beery and kinda refreshing.

At Chriso’s pre GBBF tasting 09. Gold, thin lasting white head. Gold, lovely drinkable lager. Bit poor, but who cares once you get the alcohol buzz.

50cl can. Amber gold with a loose white head; heavy carbonation; grassy and grainy aroma; heavy, syrupy, rather rough malty body with some herbal hops. The alcohol is well hidden - not a bad strong lager.
