Bottle shared at Cotteridge wines, Cotteridge Convention III 20/05/2017. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with frothy white head. Aroma is tangy orange, wheat, little grassy. Flavour is composed of mellow, straw, orange peel, hay, harsh grassy hop. Palate is soft moderate carbonation, grainy. Lingering vanilla, damp hay. Meh.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ Chrisoβs pre- Xmas Tasting 2015 ] - Chris and Ruth's House, London. [ As Mad Dog All Day Granola Stout ].Clear dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, sweet malt, soy sauce notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, roasted, dark malt, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Power black color with a huuuuuuughe beige head. Yes it was over carbonated. Unfortunately. Quite fizzy mouth feeling. Apart from that not very black ipa ish. Very roast dominated flavor. Also coffee and chocolate. Would have been a fine beer with a lower carbonation level.

25th Aug 2017. Gravity poured half-pint during the 8th Annual Beer Festival at The Bridge End Inn, Ruabon. Slight haze to my golden pour, weak and thin white head. Floral and citrusy nose wise, taste also leaning towards a fruity and citrusy flavour. Malts definitely take a back seat in this brew.

Cask @ Salopian. Pours clear gold, small white head. Aroma is floral, lightly hoppy. Taste isnβt particularly fruity, as the name would suggest, but there are some nice floral, fruity undertones to this. Soft bitterness, drying close.

Bottle shared at Chris & Ruthβs pre-GBBF Shindig 2017 - Part 2. A hazy dark brown beer with a small most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, not too sweet. taste of dark roasted malt, chocolate, toffee, burned malt, not too sweet.

Bottle shared on Level 42 19/07/2017. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. A dark chocolate brown coloured pour with a a light tan head. Aroma is slightly tangy berry fruit, blueberry, powdered choc, woodland fruit and oak, . Flavour is composed of semi sweet, woody, oily choc, mellow cycle, woody oak. Palate is semi sweet, oily, lowish carbonation. Woody finish. But cloying. Warming chilli choc.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Daniel. Pours clear, deep brown with a frothy, light tan head. The nose holds charred green pepper, light cocoa, soft roast. Light sweet flavour with modest chili spice, some chalky cocoa, a little earth. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Finishes with more low chili burn, more cocoa, some scorched earth. Not bad.
