Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a lot of sweet citrus with a hint of bitter grapefruit and a backing spiced bread note. Flavor has more of a pure citrus note upfront that is joined by bitter grapefruit and has the same spiced bread backing. Unique.

Bottle: Poured a black reddish color with a tan head. Aroma is bitter dark chocolate. Taste is metal, roasted malts, light chocolate, and coffee grinds.

Bottle: Light copper color with a large, fluffy beige head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is sweet, a blend of fruity yeast, light esters, bananas, and cinnamon. Doesn’t quite line up with the taste, which is malty with more of that fruity yeast, some florals, and grass. Something reminds me of iced tea... in a good way. Refreshing.

Bottle: Poured a coppery amber with a cream off white head. Aroma is nice bitter hops, but can also pick out some citrus fruit and malts. Taste is a nice hops bitter up front, nice mix of fruit and malts mellow it a bit. Drank nicely overall and hide the alcohol well.

Growler pour thanks to JohnGalt1. I think Toby is working his hardest to make me one of the top Montana raters. Pours out a dark brown topped with a off-white head. Aroma was of wood, nut, chocolate, pit fruit, and some light hop notes. Taste was as the aroma with a nice sweetness along with some rich light roast malts.

12oz bottle. Foggy red-brown. Thin, patchy head. Pungent aroma, some crystal and amber shine out, but sort of a rotten smell. Says it’s an Irish Style Red Ale on the bottle. Medium bodied, a rather unimpressive example of the style. The mild hops add just a touch of soapy bitterness, and are quite one-dimensional. Fruity, red apple and toffee tones. Boring, uninspired beer.

12oz bottle. Murky brown-black with a big beige head that laces the glass. Chocolate, cocoa in the aroma. A really well done, medium bodied Porter. Enough rich chocolate tones that you could call it a Chocolate Porter and no one would blink an eye. Very easy on the palate. Well done.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow-tan with a small oily head. Kind of an herbal aroma, still soft. While there is some obvious orange peel and coriander, the overall feel of this beer is quite authentic and well-executed. Mellow medium body, quite doughy and poundable. The spices float on top of the soft malt backbone. Pretty decent beer.

Bottle at Beer Revolution. Pours black, but going garnet as the glass goes down, with some tan bubbles. Aroma is chocolate over coffee. Med body. Smooth near burnt malt flavor with a mix of burnt sugar and chocolate.

Bottled. Dark brown, small head. Fruity with lots of cocoa. Mid sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and light body. Faint salty finish with some bitterness. A drinkable albeit plain porter.
