Cask at the brewpub. Aroma has astringent smoke but watered down as if the fire brigade stepped in. Opaque red tinged brown. Fluffy foamy beige head. Smokey fruit. Pleasent but weak. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Slips down but ultimately a watered down smoked beer.

Cask at the brewpub. Aroma is sour but not in a good way. Popcorn. Hazy-opaque amber. Frothy foamy white head. Malty. Boiled veg. Citrus edge. Light-medium bodied. Thin if slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Bad. Cheapo gold masquerading as an IPA.

Half-pint, keg, at Brewhouse & Kitchen. Shared with Finn. Clear amber-gold body, clingy lacing, bubbles on the surface. Malt-fruity aromas, mid-sweet. Mixed taste of dried fruits and toffee. Malt-fruity ending. Fine bodied. Paired well with my Caesar Salad. Pretty good. (Southbourne 22.10.2019).

Cask ale, third at Brewhouse and Kitchen. Shared with Finn. Clear dark amber body, naked at the surface, scattered lacing. Moderate aromas of sightly roasted caramel-fruits. Creamy malts, mid-sweet and earthy. Lightly roasted ending. Satisfying. (Southbourne 22.10.2019).
