Pours from a growler a deep brown with a faint red hue on the edge of the pint glass, with an off-white head. Not very carbonated, which is a plus. Aroma is a faint chocolate, some esters. Flavor is slightly chocolate, not rich, but like a fudgcicle or fudgicle, whichever you prefer. Some bitterness, but doesn’t seem from hops, almost like a burnt flavor coming through on the end. A little thin in the mouth, but not undrinkable. Full disclosure, I drank this after drinking a rather excellent homebrewed imperial stout, so perception may have been skewed.

Can at my sister’s a souvenir from her trip to the US. It has a solid fruity aroma with light cracker notes. Flatbread maltiness, a bit of honey, light fruits a nice satisfying well made blonde.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a glossy red color with a decent transparency about it. Streams of carbonation were seen rising. Bar pour yielded a film of a white head, barely any lacing.
The smell had a toasted caramel to toffee blend in front of a light coffee and then a light bitter piney hops in the background.
The taste was moderately sweet with a drawing bitterness trying to come out here and there.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed to be good for the style and to me as there’s a decent smoothness but still allowing a light sharpness over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a good Amber/Red ale I’d probably have again.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a slight golden yellow color with streams of carbonation to be seen rising through the beer. Bar pour yielded a film of a white head. Barely any lacing stuck around the glass.
The smell had a sweet corn with some light toasted caramel notes.
The taste was pretty much the same.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and to me. There’s a decent smoothness running over my tongue.
Overall, good blonde ale I could probably pound on a Cape Cod beach.

Pours a light amber to yellow, dense white head that dissipates quickly, no lacing. Not a style that gets a ton of fans probably due to the fact that its in "no-mans land", some ale qualities and some lager qualities. Taste and palate suffer because of the lager yeast, too much like a pale lager, and the palate suffers because of the ale "thickness". Once you get over that, this is a summer thirst quencher, no idea why CCB release this in March, it should be a special in summer,

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy yet somewhat dark brown color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sticking and then sliding down.
The smell had a sort of a slight nutty/dark fruity aroma about it.
The taste was mainly sweet and carried a light breadiness about it.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a somewhat sessionable quality about it. The carbonation was fairly smooth.
Overall, this was a pretty good brown ale I could have again.

750mL swing top bottle. Side by side comparison with the regular red ale. Dense tan to off white head, sticky soapy lacing. Butterscotch and caramel aroma, oily sticky mouthfeel, sweet butter and boozy flavor even with the relatively low abv. Just enough hop bitterness to cut off the sweetness before it gets cloying. Nice beer and a good step forward for this brewery.

On tap. Pours a clear pale yellow, medium white head, no lacing. Biscuity floral fruity hop profile in the nose. Fruity and floral hop notes with the traditional biscuit and cereal malt flavors. Finish is short.
