Cask at The Booking Office. It pours clear brown with a medium white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, brown bread, toffee, caramel, biscuit, millionaire's shortbread and toasted nut. The taste is dry, bitter, woody, resinous, leather, bit of spice, toffee, caramel, varnish, toasted brown bread, chewy action and a touch of citrus with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Pretty flavoursome. Says it's a brown porter on the pump clip.... More like a hoppy heavy bitter with a bit of brown ale vibes. Who knows, not me. Decent nonetheless.

Cask at the Grill. It pours clear brown with a medium bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, toffee, fruit cake, toffee apple, wood, toasted nut and leather. The taste is dry, bitter, wood, leather, bit of spice, chewy malt, tannin, burnt toffee and fruit cake with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty robust stuff. Decent spicy bitter.

Cask at the Edward Rayne (JDW), Raynes Park. A pale amber colour with a ring of white head; fruity aroma; berry fruit taste with a musty grainy body; and a lemony bitterness to finish.

Bottle at Granite City. It pours hay golden with a thick white head. The aroma is bread, straw, very grassy, leaves, light honey, hay and floral notes. The taste is crisp, dry, pretty bitter actually, clean, metallic twang, freshly cut grass, hint of soapy citrus and peppery spice with a firm and dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Tastes fresh and bright. Way more bitter than expected. Decent stuff actually.
