Description
Seven Sheds is a craft brewery and mead making enterprise offering beer and mead by the glass and by the bottle, brewery tours by prior arrangement and online cellar door.

Seven Sheds opened for business in 2008 and continues to operate in its original “backyard” premises where visitors can see hops growing, sample the brews and meet the brewers.

The range includes a number of beers inspired by ingredients grown and produced in the Cradle Coast region including quinoa, oats, raspberries and honey. While the style is heavily influenced by English and European ales, Seven Sheds also produces quirky styles including a beetroot steam ale, a barrel-aged india pale ale and a tart cherry saison brewed with Kentish cherries.

Seven Sheds also produces a range of mead wines and one or more is usually available for tasting on request. The meads range from sweet and sparkling table wines to dry, medium and spiced meads.

Bottle, 12C. Clear copper with a lovely white head. Aroma of slightly buttery toffee, bread, pine, a little tropical fruit - lychees, pineapple. Sweet, creamy textured, with fairly strong bitterness that’s resinous and slightly astringent. Not familiar with this hop, but it adds a new world accent to what is otherwise a very English beer. Maybe a bit too piney to quite fit.

Bottle. Black with a tan head that crackles down to a coat. Aroma of chocolate, roasted barley, blackberries, oak. Silky, quite full-bodied for the ABV. Carbonation could be lower for me. Moderate sweetness, more berries than mocha, lots of roasted barley, oaky and peppery. Quite vinous, would have guessed Shiraz rather than Pinot Noir. Some licorice. Complicated yet restrained. Very good. So much for low beer miles. [3.8]Bottle #5/450. Tan head is puffy and well-retained, carbonation is lower. Flavours are much the same but mesh a little more. Less peppery, more cigar box. Please do this again and leave some at this end.

Bottle. Copper with a lovely cream head that laces well. Aroma of nectarines, flowers, light spices, hints of tropical fruit. More tropical fruit as well as peach and biscuit sweetness in the taste. Creamy, a little overcarbonated. Firm peppery bitterness. Very English with very Australian hops. Good.
