From plastic barrel at Middle Farm. It pours clear rich golden in colour. The aroma is soft, juicy, mellow sweetness, red delicious apples, apple skin, cherry, apple pie and candy cane. The taste is very smooth, fresh, lightly tart, big red delicious apple character, some acidity, apple skin, floral notes and tannins with a firmly dry finish. Medium bodied and flat. Not a huge amount of depth, but it has great balance and high drinkability. Very tasty.

Litre bottle from Middle Farm. Firstly tried cold... It pours clear rich gold with no head. The aroma is soft, sweet, very, cinnamon, nutmeg, chai latte, honeycake and apple pie. The taste is pretty sweet, tangy apple, sweet apple pie, sugary, festive, spice, spicy, honey and tannins with a sweet, yet dry finish. Medium body, flat and oily, slightly cloying mouth - feel. Next up - served hot as intended. It improves substantially. It opens up and becomes less sweet and cloying. Aroma takes on some stewed fruits and apple skin. The taste is full of tangy apple, baked apple, tart apple skin, honey and a touch of acidity, as well as the festive spice. Overall it’s pretty tasty. I suggest you heat this up before you review.

Draught at the Claret. It pours clear very pale yellow with no head. The aroma is sweet, tangy, apple pie & custard, some funky farmyard, marzipan and hay. The taste is sweet, tangy apple, apple skin, earth, wood, rhubarb & custard boiled sweets, white grape skin and a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied and flat. I like the aroma but the taste is a touch sweet and lacking in depth. Not bad, but far from their best cider.

Draught at Claret Freehouse. It pours clear very pale yellow with no head. The nose is earthy, musty, barnyard, appletiser and apple skin. The taste is dry, earth, apple skin, tangy apple, alcohol hit, tart pear, touch of acidity, white grape and wood. Medium body, pretty much flat and slick mouth - feel. Drinks easier than it should, consider you get a good boost from it. Solid. Originally 3.5. Drank this many times since including in bottle. Balanced and moreish. Very enjoyable. 3.7

750ml bottle. Clear golden colour, fizzy white bubbly foam head that rapidly dissipates away and aroma of tangy apple, barnyard, woody oak, honey. Taste is sweetish apple, tart, with notes of honey, apple pie, oak, rubber, barnyard, earthy boozy and light tannin. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tart bittersweet finish. Nicely drinkable sparking cider.

Clear golden colour, no real head. Aroma of apple and cheese. Sweet apple flavour. Finish apple and cheese. Bit too sweet for me.

Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 Sunday tasting at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell. Pours clear honey yellow-gold with a few bubbles for a head. The nose holds ripe and sugary apples with touches of creme and alcohol. Medium sweet flavor with artificial apple character, stewed apples, caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with gooey sugars, white bread and heavy, syrupy apples. Meh.
