Clear deep ruby red colour, tall frothy beige head, good retention. Aroma roasted malts, caramel, cherries, bubblegum, spices. Taste light heavy sweet and light bitter, roasted malts, caramel, brown candy sugar, spicy notes. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, very nice.

Thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, more and more hoppy and fruity with a mild sweetness. Also some notes of buttercookies and some other sweets. Well balanced finish, fruity notes of peaches. Nice.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Jumbo Maurik. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Spicy caramel aroma. Sweet taste with some bitter notes. Bitter finish as well and luckily not too spicy. Bit boring but otherwise decent.

Blijft een van de weinige bocks waar echt wat aan is.

Sweet, caramelly, added wood and bourbon extract? Not bad, plenty flavorful. Great value for money.

Smooth floral and slightly bitter beginning. Nice caramelly grain with a nice floral body. Not too much bitterness in the end, but a round and floral fruity hop-grain profile. Very nice and round. Refreshing with a floral-fruity depth. Nice one.

Thuis uit een flesje. Licht troebel amber kleurig. Weinig beige schuim, jammer. Smaak is goed, maar gezien het abv had ik er meer van verwacht.

Bottle. Edition 2018. Color: Reddish brown. Long lasting dense beige head, just a very litle bit darker than the original Dubbelbock (compared side by side). Aroma: Malt, caramel, hints of Bourbon and wood. Taste: Malty, caramel notes, pretty subtle sweetish notes of Bourbon and hints of wood. Hints of red fruit, moderate hopbitterness. Overall pretty malty. Moderate to medium sweet. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Side by side comparison with traditional Dubbelbock: The subtle Bourbon and wood notes surely do add some extra flavours and a little complexity to this beer and deminish the lingering caramel taste of the original Dubbelbock. But overall it still is far less interesting as most Bourbon flavoured beers. It's an interesting development that Brand makes a low cost Bourbon flavoured beer for the mass, as this beer is widely spread at Dutch supermarkets at low price, but not that interesting for real Beer Geeks. I even don't rate this beer higher but just the same as the original one.

Keg at stadsbrouwhuis. Pours clear golden, nose is hay, floral, toffee, taste is sweet toffee, grassy, quite sweet.
