Rerate, Jun 2014. Bottled, Sep 2014, medium sample. Clear golden color, short frothy white head. Aroma is quite fruity, bit flowery, some orange, coriander. Slight sweet in taste, medium bitter, bit dry, slight alcohol. Seems to be more balanced and with more fruity notes, albeit slight artificial. It has more flavors than Westmalle Tripel, Duvel or La Trappe Tripel, but it is also a less refined comparing them side by side. Getting better each try though. 3.7 Original rate, Nov 2013. Bottled, BB Jul 2014, large sample. Clear golden color, short white head. Aroma of flowery hops, bit citrussy, some wheat, bit peppery yeast. Bit dry taste, medium sweet, hint of alcohol. Well balanced brew, just a bit on the safe side. 3.1

Draught, Movenpick Hotel, Amsterdam. Murky yellow looks with a small white head. Aroma was light banana and a little clove. Sweetish, grainy flavour, rather bland. Drinkable but ultimately forgettable and not the greatest example of the style.

Dark blond colour. Aroma is very sweet and sugary. Flavour is sweet and a bit fruity too, peach, banana. The alcohol balances this reasonably well but overall it’s a touch too sugary sweet.

On tap @ my local eetcafe, De Ponteneur. Clear golden color. Dense white head with some lacing. Aroma’s: soft sweetness (candy-sugar/caramel), flowery hops, some fruit. Flavor is only lightly sweet, with some fruity acidity and a starting bitterness. Medium bodied. Quite high carbonation, prickly mouthfeel. Finishes rather dry and moderate bitter. Quite good actually.

Opaque dark brown colour, thin brownish head, dissapears slowly. Sweet malty nose, caramel, brown sugar, liquorice. Light heavy sweet taste, also in finish, light body, soft carbonation, genuine old school oud bruin.

Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of musty wheat with backing clove and banana. Flavor has banana an wheat up front. Wheat becomes musty and is joined by a touch of clove.
