Bottle shared at Craft Clerko, massive thanks to Ryan for generously leaving this one with us, 25/10/13. Hazed pale golden with a decent sized white head. Nose is bitter citrics, light piss, dank hops, orange sherbet, grapefruit, mineral notes. Taste comprises jammy tropicals, orange sherbet, pine resin, grapefruit, citric zestballs. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness at the curtain call. Good DIPA, ABV well integrated, very drinkable, maybe lacks a little depth.

Nose is pine forward, bitter orange, grapefruit, grass, good hop presence - lovely ! Taste comprises grapefruit, toasted malts, grassy, pine, light mango, orange pith, peachy goodness, light herbal element. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitterness in the finish. Cracking APA - up there in the top draw bracket!

12 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks so much, Geoff), pours a thick jet black with a small brown head. Nose is extremely strong, with loads of coffee, followed by maple syrup, molasses, and more roasted coffee beans. Flavour is amazingly rich and complex, with loads of espresso beans, followed by just enough maple syrup, decadent chocolate fudge, and more coffee. The beer isn't as sweet as I thought. The coffee cuts out any sweetness from the maple syrup that might be detracting. This is stunningly amazing. One of the best impie stouts out there.

2018.12.20. Got to have this again at the brewery, and it was every bit as decadent as I remember from 5 years ago. Incredible maple syrup richness, wonderdul depth, and mind-blowing complexity. Truly a remarkable beer.

Tasting at Bruce’s new pad. Thanks to Ryan! Big thanks! hazy gold beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Nice nose of floral lime. Palate is softish and light with a light minerally carbonation. Light grass and a little pine resin. Very light skunk. Trace of hop spice. Smooth finish with a minty aftertaste. Would never have known this was Citra hopped but this is one of those Pale Ales that showcase the non-fruit side of US hops. Very nice too!

drinkin side by side to mornin delight . 274/300 pours deep black, dark brown head. smell has walnuts, but less than mornin’ . also sweetness, bourbon-ish taste has got SO damn much ! its super thick ( i LOVE that ) with the perfect carbonation . its superintence, sweet, chocolate, coffee, faded walnuts? not realy getting the ’ pancake syrup ’ i see in other rates, wich is a good thing ( i started to fear i might not like this beer ! ) but I DAMN do love it! the onley reason that i dont rate this 5/5 , is i even like my previously 5/5 beers even more . damn near perfection . one hell of an awsome looking bottle, too ! Rerate : tasting again with dennoman . Giving it a straight 5/5 now , since every aspect of it is just perfect .

Bottle thanks to Ryan. It pours golden with a thick white head. The nose is fresh, big passion fruit, floral, grassy, herbal, soft fruit, marmalade apricot, peach, plum and greengage. The taste is soft, bitter-sweet, doughy, grapefruit, floral, light alcohol, herbal, bitter grass and toast with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Not quite as punchy as I hoped for. Smooth, crisp and rather drinkable. Pretty delicate for a double. Tasty and grows on you.

22 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is super pungent with loads of fruity hops, resin, and a little herbal notes - very mosaic-centric. Flavour brings out loads of juicy resinous orangey hops, pine, and a solid caramel malt backbone. Extremely juicy, with medium hoppiness for a IIPA and no astringency. The juiciness is in the best way possible. Insanely refreshing and delicious. Awesome stuff.
