Tap at Dexters. Burgundy amber. Thin, oily head laces the glass. Fruity amber malt, but very well balanced by the caramel malt tones. Medium to full bodied. Pretty respectable offering, quite clean and balanced. Fruity toffee finish. Nice.

Tap at the tasting room. Pours hazy golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is citra, just a touch of yeast. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, light bitter, strong yeast, a bit barn yard, some lemon zest on the finish. Medium body, oily.

RBSG 2013. Black and silky smooth palate. The coffee and whiskey are pronounced in the aroma, while the flavor is surprisingly sweet and full of sugar. A small nip bottle would be plenty of this beer.

22oz bottle a few hours off the Hop Patrol truck, bottled on the same day! A very tasty IIPA. The mosaic hop is quite nice, reminiscent of Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, Citra..light and earthy, with plenty of tropical fruit flavors. Some spruce too. The body is clean and drinkable, but there is so much hop flavor you want to reflect on it sip by sip. Quite a tasty IIPA, very unique and modern. Assumably the freshest beer Iβve ever had out of a bottle.

From a bottle during Ratebeer summer gathering. Very sweet maple and roasted malt. A very thick and heavy beer, rich and heavy. I would like to try the base beer without the maple, but I do like it very much.

Sampled from a 0.65l bottle @ Top Hops (BA) bottle share. Jet black in the glass with a nice small dark but fat mocha brown top. It has this oily and thick mouthfeel with a soft prickling carbonation level. Fantastic chocolate - deep as a cellar nose. Just all black and thick. Some syrupy thing, fantastic nose with lots of espresso. It's sweet but not cloying. Lots of warming alcohol. It's a flavor bomb this. Amazingly rich and complex. Lots of wood, deep dark chocolate, some espresso and it even has something that reminds me of home made black ice cream. What a mess of a rating but this is one amazing beer! 15.06.2013
