Description
Bragdy Nant (Nant Brewery) was founded in October 2007 by a partnership of ale lovers in Llanrwst, North Wales. We had great fun learning what makes a truly great ale, and we believe that we now make ales that can compare with the best in Wales and beyond.

We take an enormous pride in creating our products, and hope that you'll find something in our range that you like. We have expanded our range to accommodate the varied and interesting tastes that characterise true lovers of real ales. Throughout our range, the emphasis is on quality and consistency. We feel we produce excellent beers and we have received good reviews for all of them, and have been awarded medals! We also can create custom orders; call or email and let us know what you want. We would love you to try our ales – and share the passion.

500ml bottle found in Portmeirion, way up in Wales. Not sure if it’s available only in town or elsewhere. Has a yellow-orange body with minimal carbonation and also okay head. Aroma of soft hay funk. Flavour is a bitter and tinny affair with lots of hops and wheat character but no malt. Dry finish. Crisp and drinkable and that’s about it.

Found in Portmeirion in Wales, possibly brewed only for the village. No head and boring lager body, aroma of soft lager hops and nothing else. Soft malt flavour, crisp finish. But sadly rather boring in almost every way.

Possibly another Portmeirion special brew only available in the village. Okay dark brown body, modest head. Aroma of roasted barley and some coffee. Flavour is sharp roasted barley with a slightly watery finish. Very boring soft stout, seems to be a common thing in these isles.

Found in Portmeirion Walges, in fact co-labelled as Portmeirion Village Golden Bitter. Looks okay with white foam and yellow body. Aroma of very soft grain and hops. Flavour is weak and soft wheat grains. Kind of a dry finish. Nothing too interesting.

Pours a slightly hazy amber with a small mottled off white head. Aroma is malty, a little toffee and fruit. Initially buttery in the mouth, a little malt and toffee but not a lot of flavoyr, a moderate hoppy bitter finish.

Shared bottle in Shrewsbury on 5th Oct 2015, cheers Mat for this weird brew. Deep ruby red/brown with a light beige top. Herbal aroma and taste, reminded me of my youth and bottles of Dandelion & Burdock such was the flavours I got. Strange from the first sip to the last, but not my cup of tea. Gave it an average score because I am a nice bloke.

500ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, Travlr edition, Oct 15, courtesy of myself. Bought from Stori Beer & Wine, Bala. Pours darl brown with a foamy off-white head. Fluffy grainy mouthfeel. Contrary to what the others thought, I didn’t actually mind this. Soft caramel, vague hints of cocoa. No off-flavours per se, and a bit unremarkable, but I’d quaff a pint of this without much complaint.
