very much like wine, but so sweet.
It was decent quite cold cause it cut the sweetness a biut, but as it warmed up it became so sweet it was undrinkable

sickly sweet, and artificial. served ice cold, was too sweet to drijnk, and had an odd plastic aftertaste, tried it when it warmed up a bit, even worse.

A dark porter with a big bubbled mocha head. In aroma, light bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, light acidity, OK. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with light cognac notes, pleasant and smooth. Bottled April 2013, so 8 years old.

Trafalgar Masala Chai Mead Braggot 7% I got this for 3 reasons: I like chai. I didn’t see many meads in Canada. I thought it sounded weird. The brassy color supports a sweet chai aroma. Full velvety body with sweet honey chai flavor. Not as complex as the label promises but nice.

Pours a hazed orange colour with a golden hue and lots of particles running through it. Warm cap fizzes away with a ring around the collar. Cinnamon aromas with some ginger, cloves over fruity notes. The taste has the spices nicely balanced with the honey sweetness, which is not as rich as expected. Light sourness in the background (not sure if the typical infection from this brewery). Some orange hints. I must say, this is surprisingly special overall.

2 10 ounce cans into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big juicy peaches, apricot, pineapple, pear, mango, melon, lemon, orange, citrus zest, fruit peel, floral honey, white bread, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of peaches, honey, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy peaches, apricot, pineapple, pear, mango, melon, lemon, orange, citrus zest, fruit peel, floral honey, white bread, and mild herbal/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy peaches, apricot, pineapple, pear, mango, melon, lemon, orange, citrus zest, fruit peel, floral honey, white bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, honey, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with a great malt/bitterness and fruit tang/tartness balance; with zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from fruit tang/tartness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately grainy/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an awesome braggot! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of peaches, honey, pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly tart/tangy/drying finish. Perfectly balanced honey, peaches, and pale malt flavors; with just enough balancing earthy hops. Super clean flavors. No yeast esters, all honey fruitiness. A highly enjoyable offering and outstanding style example.
