Varga Bar, Philadelphia tap ($6.50): Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is citrus hops, rye malt, and caramel. Taste is somewhat bitter, but not really. The hoppiness is pretty subdued. The rye is definitely prominent. Body is nice and is easily drinkable. I wasn’t too impressed in any case.

Hazy red with a large head. Aroma is sweet, light sour notes, fruity. Medium bodied. Thin body. Flavor is sweet fruity, light tartness, a bit of yeast. Not a lot going on and really not all that good. Dull.

Dark with a creamy head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, and molasses. Ful bodied. Chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, and vanilla in the flavor. This one really comes together nicely and makes for a great winter sipper.
