Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: burnt orange to amber color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet pumpkin flesh, allspice, nutmeg & clove; clean malt base
Flavor: sweet to spicy sweet through the prior aromas; finishes semi-sweet pumpkin-like with the allspice & clove
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable, medium smooth/low spicy assertiveness
Overall: nicely done pumpkin ale worth coming back to.

Beer #19 (of 19) [LAST ONE!] of my 9000th Beer Celebration [9 beers on both sides of #9000th itself]. Crystal clear deep copper and bronze coloured body with a slight pink and ruby glow, all with a fast-dying, barely single centimetre tall off-white head, but the clearness of this and lack of any lacing is actually remarkable, especially for the style - no movement here at all. Aroma of bright, tart, funky and cardboardie malts with a lot of cherries of course, along with a sweet, candy-like bite and even some cough syrup here in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong, very funky malts with some cardboard elements and a dash of earthiness come through, but the tart cherries do eventually come through with a light hit of oak and some wood foeders with a subtle sweetness that is still sadly reminiscent of cough syrup, but is fairly good. Aftertaste is dry, a bit herbal and showing a bunch of fresh cherries with some syrup and pungent qualities without much tartness, but enough real fruit flavour that melds to a caramelised sugar and toffee finish. Overall, a dry and malty, slightly artificial cherry note with a lot of sweetness derived from the fruit, but also some biscuity, grainy, earthy and very funky notes as well, that don't sort of fade away, but get a bit stronger towards the end. I sampled this 500 mL bottle, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-September-2018 for US$8,99 sampled at my house here in Washington for Beer #19 (of 19) [the very final beer] of my 9000th beer celebration [9 beers on both sides of #9000th itself].

Tallboy, poured opaque dark brown with no head. Full body. Aroma is strong peanut butter, and taste is where banana meets peanut butter. Malty finish. Straightforward, nothing offputting about this.

Deep, perfectly hazy golden and light orange coloured body with a very nice, single centimetre tall just off-white head that fades relatively quickly, but shows the haze and beautiful bright orange when held up to a light. Aroma of yeast, bread, light grain, a dose of hay, a funky curacao and coriander seed note that doesn't show freshness, but deep flavours along with a light dose of alcohol, candy sugar and a relatively large bitterness from malt and grain with a hint of hops coming through near the end. Medium-bodied; Deep and robust malt and bready/yeastie notes dominate here with a lot of grass, hay, flowers and assertive medicinal flavours show through with a good dose of alcohol and grain at the end that leaves a tiny bit of sugars coming through with the rich bread finishing it off. Aftertaste shows the robust yeast, grain and malt notes with a lot of bread and bitterness along with a hint of light spices and a sweetness from bananas and corn, but the medicinal and yeast esters come through at the tail end and really show the long-lasting yeast presence. Overall, a deep and relatively balanced tripel with perhaps too much depth and pungency derived from the yeast/bread along with the alcohol/astringent qualities, but there is enough here to make this nice to enjoy, especially as a style that isn't produced nearly enough outside of Belgium. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 21-November-2018 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington about a year and a half later on 05-April-2020.

16 ounce can. Medium gold pour. Large rocky beige head. Plenty of clinging lace. Earthy malt nose with notes of piney hops. Tangy malt flavor upfront. Plenty of dank pine happiness to follow. Nothing floral or juicy here. Straight forward with notes of lime zest and black pepper in finish.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thin, faint, single centimetre tall off white or even tan head that fades quite quickly - but the body is deep and dark brown, but a bit thin at probably around 60 per cent opacity. Aroma of peanuts, chocolate (surprise, surprise), a lot of malts, some yeast and breadiness and ending with a dash of candy and bitterness (from the nuts). Medium-bodied; Assertive peanut buttery flavour at first with a light dose of chocolate and a touch of yeast and lactose as well with some alcohol and bitterness towards the end - quite strong throughout. Aftertaste shows the nutty flavours first and foremost with a hit of the chocolate, sugars and grain at the end, but the nuttiness shows throughout. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer for the style - a good balance and hits the marks nicely throughout, even though it is a touch thin perhaps, it does show as an American Porter. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 22-June-2019 for US$1,89 sampled very fresh at home in Washington on 27-June-2019, just five days after purchase!
