Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Coppery brown colour, thin white rim and aroma of cola, herb, wood. Taste is sweet, cola, spice, syrupy, with some drying bitterness. Medium bodied, light carbonation, sweet & dry bitter finish. OK, quite sweet.

26/4/2025. Bottle bought at an African store in London. Pours cola brown with a short lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma is cola cubes, herbs, spices, roots, edge of charred wood. Moderately sweet, which developed syrupy sweet notes, but was quite bitter. Moderate body, average carbonation. Like a panda pop cola but quite unpleasantly bitter to finish. Not great but drinkable.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers GB! Aroma of lemon, grain, hints of apples and grass. The taste is a bit like sparkling water with a bitter finish and hints of grass. Not bad aroma but nothing on the taste.

Bottle at Belgha Bar and Hostel, Mole. Hard to review because it's basically tasteless, aromaless and featureless but it goes down without complaint which is better than can be said for some other macros around here. Does the job.

Bottle at the local bar in Banko. After the stout, which may be unfair, this was pretty awful. Big macro vibes and metal but with a thickness to it that goes beyond club. Might need to rerate next to Club but it feels a risk as it wasn't enjoyable at all.

Bottle at some local bar in Banko. Nice to hang with the local lads. This beer was a nice surprise. Light smoked malt aroma. Decent espresso foam that disappears relatively fast. The taste is a mess really with plenty of sweetness, malt, vegetables but the sweetness balances out any roughness and overall it's pretty drinkable, especially for the strength! Dangerous!

Bottle at Lemon Beach Resort, Elmina. Drunk from the bottle so aroma and look are unclear. The taste is ok even if it also feels like there is quite a lot of macro taste in there. Some smoked notes like aecht schlenk malts. Very sweet. Its certainly a bitch version of Guinness and felt alright after dinner. Not the best foreign extra in the world but low competition for quality out here...then again, it tastes better until you rate it....
