750 ml bottle. Clear copper pour, medium off white head. Very malty aroma, lots of caramels, sherry, light stone fruit, and quite a bit of alcohol. The hops are dim, and hard to find, just notes of light pine. The mouthfeel is syrupy, and the carb is very low. The finish is highly bitter, with more of the super sweet boozy malts. Hops are a little more prevalent in the finish with some resinous, sticky pine notes. All in all and old school dipa.

On tap at session muskoka. I think this beer has been taken out of retirement and been turned into a flavoured Porter. Soft roast, light coffee and a strong grape soda aroma. Cloyingly sweet, tastes like a mild cup of coffee with a big dollop of grape jelly in it. Not my bag.

Clear golden pour, big white head. Aroma is grassy and quite piney. Green, resinous hops. Perfect mouthfeel and a great carb. Incredibly Bitter, a biting citrus pith bitter. More fresh cut grass and some light wheat in the finish with with slight citrus. A nice beer but the intense bitterness will put off newbies.

Super dark red pour, huge fluffy, sticky off white head.
Lovely citrus aroma, big notes of pine, and some sticky chewy malts. The hops are pungent, and sticky, and quite bitter. the mouthfeel is sticky, and thick, the carbonation is a little low and soft. the finish is highly bitter, big notes of grassy, citrucy hops. The malts are thick with caramel, and bread. A big hoppy red ale, nice stuff.

Jet black pour, with a big dark brown head. aroma is all chocolate, bitter cocoa powder, some milk chocolate, and some subtle coffee. There is also a big aroma of black forest cake with a little sweet cherry. The carb is soft, and the mouth feel is bang on, and a little viscous. The finish is medium bitter, with just more chocolate. This truly is a chocolate bomb, without being too sweet. There is a nice sweet, roastiness, but i dont find it too cloying or over powering. The alcohol is hidden extremely well, i really enjoyed this as a sipper.

Hazy amber pour, small off white head. Aroma of fresh, green, citrucy hops. Some light mineral notes, with some tropical fruit. The malts are solid, and bready. NIce cereals, and a tad nutty. The finish was medium bitter, with a great fresh, green,grassy, citrucy hop note. awesome session ale.

dark brown pour, with a small beige head. big maple aroma, with some big burnt sugar, toffee aromas also. touches of vanilla, reminds me alot of being at a suagr shack as a kid and eating maple syrup right off of fresh snow. the mouthfeel is thick and luscious, and the carbonation is perfect. the sweetness is quite strong, but a solid bitterness cuts it in the end. the alcohol is well hidden, and the finish is quite bready with big notes of maple, and toffee. overall this is quite nice, a good sipper, but whoa, is it sweet.

750ml bottle from the lcbo, in a fancy box. This smells like i just stuck my head into a cedar shrub. Loads of green cedar, white pepper, and citrus mixed with more spice. The body and mouth feel are spot on. The finish is bitter, orange peel, pith, bitter. Notes of citrus, and more pepper come through with a strong cedar finish. Super original, impressive.

Jet Black pour. Big frothy dark brown head. The cocoa aroma is unbelievable. It’s like inhaling nestle cocoa powder. Just milk chocolate and mars bars. Wow! Viscous mouth feel and soft carb. The alcohol is a little hot and makes and appearance. The finish is low on the bitterness with some light roast, coffee, and and soy. But again, the cocoa goes bonkers and takes over again. This is a wild beer. I like it but also don’t like it cause there is no way I can finish the bottle.
