Cask at GBBF 2009. Black, thin tan head. OK. Little thin in the mouth, but some choc and liquorice in the swallow. OK, too much liquorice for me which is never my favourite flavour in a stout.

Deep ruby coloured body. Almost burnt aroma of dark malts. Acidity of dark malts in flavour offset by hints of chocolate malts. Maybe a little too much sweetness towards the ending, but otherwise quite alright for a stout with this low alcohol strength (Sampled at the rating table, GBBF 05.08.2009).
