Description
Old Spot Brewery was set up in 2005 at Manor Farm, in Station Road, and was named after an old farm sheep dog that used to live outside the brewery and lived to a happy old 21 years.

Cask @ George Hotel, Cullingworth. Has an apt ginger appearance through its hazy tawny amber colour. The ginger is light but is still the dominant characteristic of the ale.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and mildly crispy. Mildly tangy malts. Light floral bitterness. Thin and insipid fruits. Light semi dry finish. Crushingly bland.

Cask at gbbf 2015 day 4. Clear golden amber coloured pour with a fine fleeting white head. Aroma is nutty malt, grassy hedgerow hop. Flavour is composed if light biscuit and nutty malts. Hedgerow hop, faint grassy, berry. Palate is semi sweet. Mineral and a but thin.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty, light fruity. Toasted malty. Slight caramelish. Bitter. Toasted and light bitter. Dry and bitter far finish.

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Advertised as a mild ale, it’s certainly mild in its character, however this is hops and a sugary-malt nose. It’s not a mild in style. Darker golden coloured with a small creamy head.
