Bomber from The Wine Thief - Downtown, New Haven. Pours clear amber with a soft off-white head. Aroma of brown leaves, grass, light caramel. Flavor is tangy caramel, brown leaves, dried grass, a little spice. Flavor is better than the aroma.

$5.75 bomber from Gag Jr's Liquor Shop in New Haven. Pours crystal clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet: caramel (sweet, like I just said), fruit, light sweat, honey, light citrus. Flavor is toasted caramel, light browning leaves, a hint of citrus, floral hops, light dark fruit. Pretty tasty!

Bomber in the $6 range from The Wine Thief - Downtown, New Haven, CT. Pours an orange color with some floaters, small soft off-white head. Aroma is raspberry, light grain, light alcohol. Flavor is very raspberry, but not sweet or bitter - just there, along with some toasted malt and grass. Hides the booze well. Jesus, this is 9%?

$5.75 bomber from Gag Jr's Liquor Shop in New Haven. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Nice aroma of coffee, sweet vanilla, cream. Flavor is smooth - very smooth in fact. Coffee, vanilla, cream. Not sweet. Very solid. Excellent purchase, especially for the price.

From old tasting notes. Hazy brassy gold color. Small white head. Fruity malt nose. Soft semisweet toasted malt flavor hints at orange peel and honey. Very fruity and refreshing.

Lightly hazy, dark, brassy-gold with a medium-sized, white head showing moderately-low retention.
Fresh pepper flesh in the nose greets the senses, with light tropical fruit and moderate citrus notes alongside it, as lightly sweet malts add honey and bits of cracker to balance gently. No resin or alcohol and very low on the pineapple; you can’t tell between hop and actual fruit. Pepper is certainly front and center, though I don’t think it completely dominates. That will certainly be up to the individual drinker’s preference for spicy pepper character, though. Otherwise, clean, with ample hops and no alcohol noted.
Bright and peppery, with mild but lightly spicy heat and well-done tropical fruit notes from the hops. Malts are very biscuity, with light cereal suggestions, that really create quite a bit of depth. Perhaps it’s a touch on the sweeter side, though it definitely balances the heat, in that regard. Carbonation is moderate, fairly engaging and no flaw or alcohol is noted. As with most pepper beers, the pepper is quite apparent and this will hinge on whether or not you enjoy peppers. However, here the actual heat (and hop bitterness) is very low, so as long as you don’t mind the flavor, the heat won’t bother you.

Black with a tall tan head. Aroma is coffee and roasted malts with some vanilla and light earth tones. Medium creamy body. Flavor follows the aroma with a higher amount of noticeable vanilla, but not annoyingly so- this is not a vanilla porter, thankfully. Good balance of sweetness with coffee.
