Description
Established in 1994 in South Deerfield, MA, Berkshire Brewing Company is New England’s premier regional craft brewery. We keep it simple: brewing our ales and lagers fresh in small batches. We keep it real: all of our beers are unfiltered, unpasteurized, and contain no chemical additives or preservatives. And we keep it creative: producing a broad range of year-round and seasonal ales and lagers, and frequent brewer’s specials.
We believe in staying relaxed, down-to-earth, and enjoying an abundance of great beer. There are no secrets here. We share our process, our culture, and of course, the final product – because that’s the way we believe a craft brewery should be.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a willi. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving trailing spiders. Hay, meadow and funk aromas. Soft with sweet banana and clove front to back and into the lasting, earthy citrus pith finish.

Canned 3/27/26, drunk 6/17/26.
No apparent bourbon, but perhaps the barrel helps intensify what malt is there. Maple, treacle, caramel....definitely some iodine-laced smokiness, as well, from the malt. Clean, well-attenuated, not boozy.
Sweet and smokey with lovely caramel and round, rich toffee. Medium body with a bit of chewiness to it. There's no real overt bourbon, but maybe you can imagine some maple sweetness in here. Acidity on the finish with excellent roundness, mildness from the malt due to barrel aging. Hey, not everything has to beat you over the head with intense bourbon character and plenty of barrel aging works best when the barrel just helps refine the malt and soften the beer. That said, I still wish there was a bit more bourbon character here. But you can't deny the lovely malt structure here with excellent complexity and just enough sweetness.

Can at Ross and Erica's. Opaque, bright yellow orange juice, ample head with excellent retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong citrus and orchard fruit. Taste follows aroma. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Haven't had a Berkshire in a while. This is quite nice!

16 oz. Can thank you tfontana for the share. Aroma of espresso bean and weak peanut butter. The taste is very similar with a strong coffee and soft peanut butter. Is there white chocolate here?? Maybe. This is very similar to the coffeehouse Porter, just with a little bit of peanut butter.
