Test vom 8.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,7,8,9,12,9 - 9,00

Bouteille(Merci,MauriceEffe!):Pale golden, hazy with a medium-sized and beaten-egg-white-like bleached head, yeasty-wheaty nose with a touch of vanilla plus a slight acidity; mild to moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, not without a delicate bitter-touch, pretty light bodied for a beer of 5.6%;, but at least soft; slightly lingering bitter-sourish finish. Untypical, but well quaffable Weizen…

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, slightly ruby chestnut-brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Bready toasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, draff and a whiff of chocolate and alcohol-soaked berries and cherries. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Toasty malt-character with caramel, slightly vinous fruity notes and dark chocolate; sweet and delicately hop bitter toast-malty finish with hints of chocolate and subtle fruity notes in the aftertaste. A gem. 01.XI.13

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Strawy and slightly doughy malty aroma with notes of grassy and herbal hops. Moderately bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a modest, almost crisp carbonation. Dry and slightly doughy pale malt character with present grassy and herbal hoppy notes; moderately bitter, pronounced grassy and mildly herbal hoppy finish. Tastes as if it came from the North of Germany; still likeable though. 31.X.13

Picked this up in a gift shop in Rothenburg. Pours the color of a cola, with foamy head. Aroma is faint, but taste come on full...nuts, roast grains, coffee. Just the right amount of bitterness. Not bad...
