About

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, moderate roastyness, light liquorice, rye, moderately bitter. Silky texture, medium body, soft carbonation. A little straightforward but well done, quite nice.

330 ml. bottle. BBF 09.07.2016.Lightly hazy amber orange, patchy off-white head. Nose is mellow orange peel hop, low malt, low strange sweetish fruit, the apricot I assume. Taste is mellow orange peel, marmalade orange peel, fain pine, biscuit sweetness, mellow bitterness, creamy beer, mellow hop oil, lots of pleasant orange peel, faint almost herbal bitterness, not getting much specific apricot, mellow, easy to drink, oily with a pleasant amount of malt in play. Some herbal bitterness in the finish. Not your classical DIPA but I rather liked it.
